J7613 is billable under Nebulizers by medicare, but other insurances are dening claims needing a national drug code. I have argued that it falls under DME and am getting no where. What can I do?
Will they pay the claims if you supply the NDC? That should be easy enough, and I believe that (years ago) I was able to get some claims paid. What insurances are you talking about?
I have run into this same issue, and usually it is only resolved once I go through my provider rep. and explain the situation. Talking to insurance CSR's will get you nowhere. But I would try supplying the NDC first to see if that works.
