Default Medicaid Billing

I am looking for anyone who may have information regarding Medicaid Billing in the following states:

Ohio
Kentucky
Indiana
West Virginia
Michigan
Pennsylvania
Delaware

I am specifically looking for what items are billable for patients who reside in a LTCF, SNF, LTAC, etc. I know that many states have been changing their guidelines and not all websites may be up to date.

I've also found that I have called in to some of these Medicaid offices and been given false information from telephone customer service.

You called a Medicaid office and were given bad info? Inconceivable!
I am in PA, and I did a search for you, but can not find anything particularly about those circumstances. Most of our Medicaid patients have another insurance primary, so we are only billing Medicaid for things like diapers, gloves, bath benches, etc- things that are usually only covered by Medicaid. I am pretty sure that none of those are reimbursable while a pt is in LTC or SNF, although I believe that they can get diapers and underpads while on hospice.
I will ask our Medicaid specialist if she has any more info when she comes back on Thursday.

Right!! I am sure that no one who reads this can even fathom being given the wrong information....

That is why I decided to go to the REAL experts!! The people who have to deal with it every day..

On another note, I would greatly appreciate it if you could ask your Medicaid expert on Thursday. After the PA phone representative told me that nothing was covered, I am now being told that there is some kind of program through PA medicaid where there is coverage for Group2 Support Surfaces once the patient has reached a certain amount of charges over a specific number of days.

Just looking for any information that peers throughout the industry can offer to help!!
