I have been kicking around a few things with my new DME business. I have a couple of questions:

1. Do you need anything special (licenses etc.) to bill and received insurance claims?

2. Would it be worth my time to do the billing myself?

3. What do companies charge for billing for DME?

There are usually managed care contract you should seek for billing insurances, but this is really too big of a question to answer here.

Whether to bill in-house or outsource is has to do mainly with the expertise that resides at your business along with other factors. Again this question is too big to answer here.
