Can anyone tell me if they are having the same trouble we are with billing diabetic test strips. We have a lot of patients who are non-insulin users whose Dr.'s prescription shows they test 3 to 4 times a day. (A good way to KEEP them non-insulin users!) But, even with that documentation, Medicare will deny a claim for more than 2 boxes of test strips for a 3 month period. We've tried redeterminations and still get denied. It is SO hard to deny these clients as most of them can not afford to buy the extra strips!
