Default Medicare O2 billing at 15 LPM

We have a pt on 15 LPM. He recently got a portable that can handle the 15 LPM, but we don't know of a stationery that can, so we have two hooked together. Can we still bill the stationery with the modifier for over 4 LPM? I just don't want to make the wrong move, in Medicare's eyes. Thanks.
