PAP compliance
Our understanding of the following Medicare guideline has always been that the patient must use the equipment every night for 30 consecutive nights, with 70% of those nights with greater than 4 hours of use. But others think that this requirement means the patient must use the equipment for 70% of nights in the 30 day period, as long as those nights show they used it for greater than 4 hours each night, but they don't necessarily have to actually use it every night during those 30 days. What is your understanding of this guideline?
Adherence to therapy is defined as use of PAP ≥ 4 hours per night on 70% of nights during a consecutive thirty (30) day period anytime during the first three (3) months of initial usage
