Default What do you think about Apple's iPad?

Since this forum is open for any topic other than HME, what do you think of Apple's new iPad (www.apple.com/ipad)? Is this the product that will finally make tablet computing mainstream?

I love the concept, but I think it needs more. Like Flash! Flash content reaches 99% of Internet viewers.

I have an ipod touch and I love it; however, as with all technology, we need to give it time to develop and work out the bugs. I'll definitely wait until the 2nd or 3rd generation ipad before I bite. Plus, as stated in the above post, the fact that it doesn't currently support flash is a deal-breaker. Also, it doesn't support multiple concurrent open apps, something I'm hoping they'll fix in later versions. Here's a good article on it: Apple iPad Arrives Amid Controversy -- InformationWeek

I would like to see how I can apply it to my driver, office staff! We are at every point going paperless and this will be the next step for us. Will buy one and give it to IT to place in the system with CPR Plus to see how it work's!

Very happy with my MAC and hope to never deal with windows again... I LOVE my IPhone (even developed an IPhone App). Have been holding off buying a Kindle and waiting for the IPad.
OK, everything is bigger than my IPhone... but for $800 (even $500) I too will wait for another generation or two. No Flash, ugh.
I'm trying to understand what it will do. It's not a workpad, it won't replace my laptop, I can't use it as a phone. So exactly where is the magic Mr. Jobs?
I was very excited, till it was introduced. Now I'm still waiting.
