Medicare and most insurances with cover lymphadema sleeves as long as you have medical necessity to get the pump covered. The two diagnoses that will qualify for Medicare coverage are lymphadema and chronic venous insufficiency. In both cases, you will need pretty extensive documentation showing that other therapies such as compression garments, exercise, elevating the limb have been tried and failed. Your best bet is to go to your local DMERC website and pull up the LCD for pneumatic compression devices. I hope that helps.

Sorry for not clarifying ...

I was referring to the sleeves made from woven material (like compression stockings). I knew that the sleeves with compressor were covered. But I
am getting requests for the ready made compression sleeves.

But thank you!!!

I haven't billed it for a while, but I believe I billed S8424 to Independence BC in PA and got paid. I think the DX was just post mastectomy swelling. Sorry I can't be more help.

in Region D we bill with A6549 for post mastectomy patients and get paid. We also get paid for the Bellese Bra.
