They are finalizing a deal to acquire a regional private rental company in the New England area. This company currently provides rental DME and respiratory equipment for SNF and hospices. Has anyone seen this in other areas of the country?

Question: did Invacare 'buy' this company OR are they holding so much paper they simply took the company in exchange for the debt?
The second has occurred numerous times and I know a number of providers who have then "bought' the company from Invacare - often at large discounts from the amount owed.

The company didnt really distribute Invacare brand products and has been looking to sell for quite some time, so I dont imagine that that is the case
