We are in the beginning stages of converting from Pacware into Brightree. Are there any HME providers who have made this conversion willing to talk about the pros and cons of the conversion? Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

We just converted for about a month now it's going to be a long learning process. Posting payments is confusing and there are many pop up tabs... I think it will take time to getting used to. We are still working some patient accounts through pacware and scanning docs into pacware.

We are converting from Universal Software Systems to Brightree. I LOVE the Brightree system but the transition is harder than I thought it would be. My advice: Go into with decent cash flow and insist that your employees work at it long before your go live date! Also start your imaging coversion early. We use Remit Data and I was sadly surprised by how long it is taking. While we wait we can't retrieve most of our documents!

We did the opposite, went from Brightree to PacWare. Brightree has a great "look" but the functionality is terrible in my opinion. We were told Brightree would do things it never could. We are on PacWare now and I'm about 80% satisfied with the product but I will not be going back to Brightree. I am shopping software now and will probably go with MedAct. I just hate forking over that check.
