Default Assumption of Risk

I have a question concerning patients transporting oxygen tanks. Does anyone have patients sign a relase of liability when they pick up their own tanks and store in the trunk or unsecured in the car.

We recently went through a JC survey and this did NOT come up.

Thanks for the input.

We don't allow our patients or their families to transport tanks in the trunk of a car or any other confined space. The person transporting the tanks should "at least" be instructed on proper transportation of gas cylinders (maintain documentation in the patients file). We sell small racks to some of our patients.
