What are subscribers saying about HME Talk?

I love HME TALK!!  We were in the process of accreditation when I first found this forum and the feedback we got from our random questions was a lifesaver. I’m also the Billing Supervisor and it is a great way to double check that what you are doing is correct and to find out how others are dealing with all the changes in our industry.

Amy Holmes, Lakes Area Health Mart

I think this has to be one of the best information tools out there. Great subject and issues are discussed and it makes me realize that I am not the only one in this HME boat afloat.  Keep them coming.

Suzette Graafstra, Manager, Pharm A Save Monroe

I really enjoy HME Talk. It is comforting to find out that other small companies are having the same questions and problems we have. It is helpful to see how others have interpreted the rules and implemented them. The feedback on the use of various billing software has been helpful in contemplating a change in companies. And today, the information about FoxNews’ misinformation was important for us to know. It is a great service and not so time consuming.

Kathy Buder, General Manager, The Pouch Place, Inc.

The email forum works because people actually read the posts and respond! I’ve used HME message boards in the past and it’s difficult to get a timely response. If you ask a question on HME Talk, you will no doubt have an answer that day. The people on the listserv range from CEO, Compliance Officers to billers and customer service so you know you’ll get great useful information!

Dawn Plunkett, Kirks Medical

The forum is very informative for our industry especially with all the changes that are occurring. This forum gives us an opportunity to see how everyone is addressing compliance, billing issues and to review everyone’s questions that many of us may not think about. It’s definitely a priceless resource! Thanks!

I view my HME Talk folder daily.  It is extremely informational and educational.  This is comparable to a daily meeting with a group of HME providers to discuss day to day issues (Billing, Service, Maintenance, etc) to improve on organizational performance and patient service.   I believe we've all become more informed and better providers for it.  Thank you!!!

Patricia Robinson, Co-Owner, Manager, Tri State Medical Group

HME Talk has been very helpful with good advice and also helpful hints to help our business run better, keep it up!!

I like being able to interact with other DME suppliers.  Find out alot and can help others if I know the answers.

It is quite interesting the real use of this data is showing our industry how many improper answers we get from front line carrier responses. It also tells me how ambiguous information from medicare can and does become misconstruded daily.

Vince Destigter

I find HME Talk helpful with situations where I just want to know what someone else’s interpretation is.  I know how to find all the black and white resources but sometimes it’s nice to know how someone else interprets them or puts them into practice.  It’s also nice to get ideas on situations regarding unique situations like traveling patients or collecting from patients, etc.  I learn new things even when it’s not my question.

Lisa Kennedy, Helget Home Care

I really like the HME talk as it allows providers to discuss issues, problems and solutions with other providers. However I don’t like that the software companies are also on and they respond to providers directly if anything negative is said about them. Although I understand that there isn’t anything that can be done about that. Thanks so much.

Teresa Wiedemer, Lehigh Valley Respiratory Care-Lancaster

I'm a home health consultant with a clinical background and enjoy being a part of HME Talk because it gives me a direct line into the issues facing distributors, and this helps make me more sensitive to how patients may be affected in the homecare setting.  I think it's great!  Thank you for a nice job!
